Though we have remodeled several Grand Champion condos, this was one of our most recent and gratifying. We never met the owner prior to the work but she had us “totally” renovate the unit and even included all new furnishings selected and arranged by Judy, our “in house” licensed decorator.
We started with gutting everything. Kitchen, baths, appliances, plumbing, electrical, fans, flooring, doors, air conditioning and most everything else. The results can be seen by the pictures but they really don’t give it justice. It is a WOW unit and a model showplace in Grand Champions.
We were able to include excellent quality, gorgeous “Caramelized Bamboo” kitchen and bath cabinets “custom made” on Maui, at a cost to fit most every budget. These epitomize the tropical look we strove for throughout and have many custom features.
The kitchen cabinets over the bar were eliminated but we made up for their loss by installing a base cabinet on the outer wall. The granite counter tops were chosen from several choices of pre-fabricated granite to harmonize with the bamboo cabinets, new stainless appliances, glass tile back splash and new floor tile. The combination is
gorgeous.
The bath vanities are the same granite and bamboo and feature under mount sinks and brushed nickel Moen plumbing. They also feature bamboo framed mirrors and special radiant lighting sconces.
The guest bath was converted and enlarged by the elimination of the wall and door between the vanity/shower areas. This greatly opened up the space. The tub was removed to allow for a very spacious walk-in shower with a ½ inch thick glass shower panel. Note the special tile applications in both bathrooms.
A FUJUTSU ductless split air conditioning system was installed to replace the old, ugly, noisy window ACs and provides custom, quiet and economical cooling to each room. These systems are a growing trend and have been encouraged and approved by the G.C.V. owners association..
We will be very proud to show you this renovation any time there is a rental vacancy. However, with the choice of this condo over others, not renovated, the vacancies will be minimal.
