This is a prime example of what a gorgeous transformation can be made on a minimal budget. The owners didn’t want to go to a lot of expense on new kitchen cabinets so we had our custom cabinet maker cut doors and drawer fronts for the old boxes. The boxes in Maui Kamaole are solid wood so new faces work perfect for them. The material used is solid ‘caramelized bamboo’ which is the most practical wood you can find for cabinets. It won’t fade, change color and is hard so won’t scratch easily. It also coordinates beautifully with all other woods and décor in the units.

This is the flat style cabinet. We also make a ‘deluxe’ model that has vertical and horizontal bamboo. This can be seen on the Maui Kamaole G-212 project.
