It is difficult to believe how significant the transformation of this unit was. You will see from the “Before” pictures it was a very old, original condition unit.

The owners gave us their blessing to renovate it to be another Wailea Interiors &Remodeling WOW unit. I think this transformation is the biggest WOW we have ever accomplished. The owners had many good ideas and desires and then left us to do our thing. It was a lot of work but a lot of fun also. We installed insulation on all the ceilings and then dry walled over the old wood beamed ceilings for a clean, light look.

The tile throughout is the “porcelain” tile plank style that is so popular now. As you can see, we also ran it up the shower and tub walls to give it an even flow.The decorator tile in the baths and kitchen back splash gives great accents.

The roman tub was custom made out of tile because you can’t purchase a small tub, like the old any more. One of the owners loves to bath and this was a must and it turned out great.

The stairway was opened up and rebuilt with wood to match the Cherry wood cabinets in the kitchen. This is a stunning transformation.

We installed a “split ductless” Air conditioning system to service both bedrooms and the living room area. It works perfect and we were able to bury the supply lines so it is unobtrusive. This type of AC system is the most economical and practical you can buy. The condenser in hung on the wall in the outside closet.

The following were also part of the project:

• New Fleetwood lanai doors and new windows and frames through out.
• Painted all walls and ceiling a rich combination of creamy walls and white doors and trim.
• Installed can lights throughout.
• Installed exotic granite counter tops
• New framed mirrors on the vanities to match the cabinets
• Custom locking cabinets made out of the same Cherry as in the kitchen.
